It is a really good keyboard!
Keyboard meets all expected toughts, for it's retro design (I love it how it looks like something out from the 80's) as for it's tactile feeling (I purchased the switches with gateron brown, which I'm a big fan of).
I didn't know how better costar stabilizers are than normal ones (I have other keyboards with screwed stabilizers), but they feel solid and sounds good.
The sound is also very compeling and invites you to keep writing :-)
I've used it in wired mode and 2.4ghz mode, and on WIN and MAC computers, it connects up quickly and it's a breeze to change configuration.
Also love how although having a nice tilt on the functions keys, the keyboard allows two more tilt options.
My only nitpicks would come in for the low bright RGB leds (in it's maximum level it's not very bright) and not having a way to store the usb dongle inside the keyboard (but I know this was resolved in later models).
As a final note: I'm vey happy with this purchase, and I'll keep an eye on other Iqunix keyboards :-)
thank you for being a reliable brand. really appreciate it:)
Great keyboard, and iqunix support is great.
High-quality feeling. I am looking forward to using it more and more!
Awesome keyboard feels solid and great construction absolutely love it
This is a great keyboard has great stabs and they are not cheap or anything. The silent red switches are really good and all the keys sound really good also the Bluetooth is good and doesn’t have input lag.
Keyboard is good but the Bluetooth sucks, it can’t pickup a signal through my desk that is just wood
I have one of these and the keyboard is amazing sounds nice looks nice, only problem i’m having is that the enter, shift & shift lock key doesn’t work when i press it, any solutions?
It is the best mechanical keyboard that I have ever had so far. I just can recommend it to everybody interested about high quality keyboard.
It sounds great I love the tactile keys. All the keys came pre lubed which was nice. It sounds a little hollow but that was expected to I just added a little foam and it was perfect.
Best keyboard I’ve ever owned, looks great, feels great and fast shipping!
I am loving this keyboard so much, maybe if I could start over I would have bought one with a backlight but other than that its great!
Looks great, feels great. One small issue was the left shift key didn't have a thocky sound when pressed, it sounded like something was stuck underneath it, but it did not affect the feel.
I bought this keyboard as an investment, I was very excited about its size (I didn’t need a full size one), led personalization and ergonomic design. I was not let down. I love the retro vibe on it. The keys fall is also comfortable. I would change the main keycaps to transparent if need it. But I’m happy.
The appearance is very cute, with great color combinations. I bought the brown switch and I am so in love with it! To me, it takes all the pros of the blue switch and red switch as it has the clickiness and also is quieter than the blue switch. Personally, I love the typing experience. But I would be interested in an armrest, especially for this model.
The function of connecting to two devices at the same time is very helpful, since I need to switch between different devices. However, I would recommend trying reducing the connection time for Bluetooth or the switch delay. When transitioning from USB connection to Bluetooth connection, there are 4 to 10 seconds delay. Sometimes when I want to switch between devices frequently, this delay can be a little long. Other than this, I love the overall experience with this keyboard and I might try to get other models and switches in the future!
A lush mechanical feel without the clickity clack to peeve your WFH spouse in the next room.
A light-up in a black setup.
absolutely love it!!!
Keyboard always goes into bluetooth pairing mode and i can't find a way to get it out of pairing
Recieved my A80 Explorer witj Silen Cherry MX keys. Coming from a Corsair K70 with blue clickies, love the feel of the keys, and the silent lighly thockiness from the box. Now if only there was also a Numpad availble in the same scheme to complement the set ;)
Insane look and quality built ! i love the switch and most of all that i can switch from Mac layout to windows in one shortcut!
I've only had the keyboard for a week, but I absolutely love it! Love the retro design, colors, and angled F keys especially. I've had no issues so far, and will definitely be buying another keyboard in the future for my ever growing collection.
Well, first time purchasing a mechanical keyboard. Not my first time using em, I’m at least 30, but I’ll say that this one is splendid. It’s responsive, current, and the classic look plus the elevated function keys is pretty nice.
It took some getting used to, overall, but it’s a kind of natural feeling to type on it. And I guess if I want to fancy it up with ink or tungsten switches there’s at least room for that.
I really good. Since I bought it, 1 and half months ago, I still didn't need to charge it!
The keyboard feels really good, and I just need to get used to the new keys distribution (the page up/down, delete, home/end, etc).
I am blown away by the out of the box typing experience with this thing.
And switching the connection from one computer to another is smooth and works every time (a surprisingly uncommon thing for wireless devices even in 2022).
I will totally be recommending the A80 to my mechanical keyboard enthusiast friends.
Frequently locks up and either does nothing or acts like I'm holding the last key I pressed, until I plug it in and out again.
I love the design of the keyboard and it is very comfortable to use, but in the few days I've had it I have had multiple instances of it randomly not working in wired mode until I unplugged the cable and plugged it back in. It works fine after that but it is a bit of an inconvenience, especially for a board that costs as much as it does.
A very neat keyboard. The finishing touches are flawless, the texture of the keycap is very much to my liking.
The only thing I could have wished is to have the choice on the keyboard layout.
A great buy.
Omg, I love this keyboard. My little brother put me onto this brand and it’s simply amazing. My typing experience is top notch. I have to work on a computer all day, typing. My fingers are just happy. My wrists are happy. My ears (from the silence of the keys) are happy. It’s an incredible typing experience!
Keyboard will randomly disconnect making it unusable for gaming. I have had this keyboard for less than 6 months with minimal use as I generally only use it on weekends and it has already starting showing more problems than my previous "cheap" mechanical keyboard.
Certain keys seem to jam leaving you unable to use that key for a random period of time.
Overall, great aesthetics but poor functionality and reliability. Would not recommend buying to anyone.
Very good quality keyboard, perfect packaging and accessories! Recommended 10/10
its good i like it
I love it!
-I now have more desk space than ever because it's smaller, more compact and the cable isn't in the way either.
-The RGB LEDs are very configurable. They have all kinds of options. You can of course also turn it off, if you want.
-A small 75% keyboard with no unnecessary gaps so that you can reach all your keys quickly.
-I probably forgot something.
To summarize, it's really good.
Purchased 8/24/21 and received on 9/01/21. The keyboard is good when it's working. But it'll randomly stop working in middle of a game and sometimes doesn't wake from sleep (pc). I first thought it may be a wireless issue, so it's been plugged in for the last couple months but the issue persists. I've never had an issue like this with the L brand or the C brand keyboards.
Great keyboard! I've had my eye on it for a while and it's just as cool as I imagined!
Superb quality and writing feel. Totally lived up to my expectations. Bought from recommendation by badseedtech.
Overall, I am happy with the keyboard! Only minus I'd say are the costar stabilizers which are a bit difficult to work with and besides the spacebar one the rest are a bit mushy no matter how much they are tuned.
I have made a full unboxing and modding tutorial for A80 Explorer, my video is longer than 15 minutes though, so I couldn't attach it to this review, but I'll drop the video link on youtube:
Disconnected while playing overwatch competitive match (was using 2.4 wireless with no other devices interrupting and no metal objects to block the 2.4 waves, both the device and the dongle were above resting on the table)
Will not use this keyboard again, Its not gaming ready (not Esport level at least).
Such a shame, was absolutely looking forward to sink at least 2-3 years on this keyboard.
Now its just sitting in a closet collecting dust....
Le Iqunix sono tastiere eccellenti, come il loro servizio clienti, gentilissimi, affidabili e disponibilissimi.
It's an awesome keyboard. Great looks and great typing experience. Really premium.
The color is very specific so it's hard to coordinate with, also I can hear pinging when I type with it, usually I would not mind bit this is a premium keyboard so it shouldn't have such problems.
As many others who have reviewed this board have stated, the outstanding aspects of this board are the overall quality of the build, versatility (few other compact boards offer wired, wireless, & BT connection options), and ergonomic layout (I especially appreciate the idea of angling the function key-row towards the typist). My only complaint would be an impression that the emphasis on design aesthetic has perhaps resulted in a few missed opportunities to further enhance the functionality of the unit. A primary example would include the decision to place the multifunction LED lamp in the function key-row rather than in the adjacent (largely unused) edge of the bezel, which prohibits the inclusion of a dedicated insert key, which is useful in many softwares. Other minor complaints would be the use of Black legends on the dark blue modifier keys, which comprimise legibility in some lighting conditions, and the location of the wired-wireless switch on the bottom of the unit rather than at the rear.
Incredible keyboard, I would say It's the closest you can get to a personally built keyboard. RGB looks nice, stabilizers are nice and tight (no rattling), the plastic case is structurally sound and not cheap feeling, keycaps have a clean font, USB type C to type A cable feels durable, It's a smaller keyboard but doesn't feel like you're missing any keys. If you don't need a Numpad this is definitely a keyboard worth your money.
Bought this keeb for my wife to use in her office at work. She seems to really like it. I fiddled with it a little bit when we got it and I was super impressed with the quality of everything. It feels sturdy and the pink gold switches sound amazing in it. Well done.
Amazing product, would like for there to be a application to customize the lighting though
Awesome Keyboard and superb design
Fantastic keyboard: great product design, nicely built, and feels amazing to type on (cherry red). Having the wifi remote option is a joy, and super easy to use.
Looking foward to getting more Iqunix keyboards now!
Overall great experience. Wish the Bluetooth connectivity after sleep was faster. Sometimes it can take up to 10 seconds to connect.
I love it. Great construction, look and feel. I like all the connectivity options.
I would like some compartment to store the dongle (I am afraid to lose it).
Bought it for my mac and love it.
Pros: I really like the Keyboard. Works as intended and love the style. Old school look but feels premium.
In order for me to love they need to fix cons.
Cons: For this price point, imo the switches NEED to be pre-lubed. I have keyboards that cost less and are pre-lubed. So expect that pingy mechanical sound from the springs. But it is fixable so just watch a YT video if want to do it yourself. Secondly, the keyboard randomly disconnected once (I have it plugged in). So that brought up concerns. So far it hasn't been doing that since.
I prefer the bigger keyboard, this one is to small and not as expected.
I wish it had more features.
it's beautiful but not as expected from 100$+ product
Super unique and awesome looking keyboard. Colorway is great, keycaps feel great to type on, RGB is subtle and provides a nice soft light bleed. Keys make a very satisfying thocc while typing. Cherry MX reds are still my favorite, however being able to hot swap in the future is a nice option to have if I want to try another switch type. The angled top row is a nice touch too, the function keys are easy to reach in this unique layout.
Overall I am happy with my purchase. Will definitely buy another style keyboard from IQUNIX again in the future.
Good quality, but I should have gotten a bigger size for my body frame.
I bought the backlit version, but don't really use the feature. The colour scheme is nice, but I was hoping this would be backlit similar to how laptop keyboards allow me to type in the dark.
Overall happy with the purchase.
Keys sound great. Looks unique. I recommend it.
The keyboard is a solid build. The typing experience is great with the gold/pink switch. The RGB backlit adds more vibe when you play games.
I think overall this keyboard is really great. Its the quietest keyboard I've heard with my own ears. Only one problem is that it will shut off after a little bit of not using it and its kind of random when it does it(no its not on bluetooth). Other than that one issue I really like it.
The A80 is a really great and comfortable keyboard! I love the retro look, the fantastic build quality, its connectivity and that caps & switches are hot swappable. Battery life is long and I like the RGB effects.
One bonus point: Despite manual & website say that only one Bluetooth device can be paired, indeed 3 devices can be paired (Using FN+1, FN+2 and FN+3) to the A80. Because of that, it is really fast to switch between different devices without additional pairing.
It’s been great so far, tbh it’s a bit too tall to use without a wrist rest.
Absolutely love this keyboard. Love the sound and the feel. The build quality feels amazing. Ordered it with the ttc gold pink switches, since I'd never tried them before. The spring resistance is a bit light, but VERY smooth. Pictures don't do it justice. It is a gorgeous keyboard. It's so good in fact, I don't plan on moving it at all. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone.
Aesthetically pleasing and awesome right out of the box, even more amazing when modded! 5/5
Absolutely adore it!! It has such a delightful sound, playful RGB settings and a quirky form factor all in one.
It was gift to someone. He loves it!!!
Very wonderful looking and great feeling of sound and touch. I pretty enjoyed using it.
I have fallen in love with this keyboard. The feel of the keys and sound of the switches is amazing. I also love the style and the colors, and the size is perfect. Best keyboard I have ever used. Very satisfying.
Its a very good keyboard and a very good company
Overall, it's an okay keyboard. A few problems:
* In the 'Mac' mode, the 'option/alt' keys don't work.
* There's a loud metal/resonance pinging sound on every keypress. The company said that this is because of the Cherry MX Brown switches. I still hear it after swapping to a different switch.
Wish it had the ability to save and connect to three devices like other Bluetooth enabled keyboards. (This one only connects to one).
Amazing quality and designs. 11/10
Super solid keyboard, really high quality keycaps, stellar build quality, awesome color scheme and I love the TTC blueish white switches! Very happy with my purchase!
Amazing keyboard for beginners, keyboard arrived really quick, staff were friendly and helpful when I asked them some questions before ordering the keyboard. I've changed out the switches to the ones I prefer, keyboard looks and sounds super cool. 5/5, excellent for beginners and I totally recommend!
beautiful design and amazing quality in this price range
Such a good retro looking keyboard with superior build quality. Also love the compact size and tilted angel that makes the typing so enjoyable
Everything works extremely smoothly, however, stabilizers could be better
Wanna start with “best spacebar that i ever use”. Actually everything is lubed, silent and stable. Looks so nice, but have some issue. I don’t like OEM keycaps. Edge is sharp and not enjoyable with touch. When clicking into middle of keyboard you can hear some metallic sound.
Overall everything is more that ok!
I like it. But i have a problem. When i dont's use my keyboard about 1-2 hours, its go to sleep mode. I have unplug type C cable then plug in if i want continous using
Great quality, sounds great. Keys are nice and responsive, lighting options are nice and not overwhelming. Awesome looking keyboard, happy with my purchase.
I love this keyboard! I have been using it and the switches are very nice and I love the sound and keycaps! They sound even better once I lubed them! Definitely recommend this keyboard!
This keyboard has so much potential. The layout is good, the switches (gat reds) feel great, the sound is terrific out of the box. However - the keyboard often loses connection while connected to USB. You have to unplug and plug the usb back in to get the keyboard working again. That can be especially frustrating while you're gaming. The 2.4ghz wireless connection doesn't work well for gaming because it will miss keystrokes occasionally. I would not recommend this keyboard if you plan on gaming, but if you can deal with the frustration of losing connection every once in awhile, then it's a pretty good keyboard for daily typing.
I love this keyboard, the added foam under the PCB is a great addition and over all a solid build.
I have changed the switches and keycaps to my preferred one. ( Switches / Black ink v2 Lubed )
10/10 Great keyboard for beginners
Really good quality keyboard with a special design. As a programmer i was hesitant in choosing between red and brown switches, but i can now definitively say that Gateron Red switches are dope :)
Everything is great about this except that when my MacBook wakes up from sleep the keyboard will fail to respond unless I re-plug the USB cable.
I ordered this amazing keyboard, it arrived pretty quickly considering it came from quite a ways away. Build quality is superb. It's a work of art. You really can just enjoy looking at it, and turning on the caps lock is really cool, the way they did it with the lights. I had to return it since I have (really, medically) bad carpal tunnel issues and the angle just wasn't right for me. I had an F96 that was perfect (except I lost my taste for clicky Blue switches) so I returned the A80 and ordered another F96 with the Pink switches instead.
It looks so cool and is so epic
